Customer Reviews
I got this piece several months ago as what I thought would be a simple replacement for a "better," more expensive piece that I damaged. It's worked perfectly eversince, and I laugh when I'm on it and people can't tell the difference, or when they're using their own headsets and I can easily tell the difference. In addition to the quality I've experienced thus far, I can also attest to the incredible durability of the product. I recently left my headset in the pocket of a pair of jeans, which went through both the washer machine and the dryer before I realized what happened. Fearing I'd lost my nifty headset to such a boneheaded move, I was prepared to go out and buy another. But I decided to see if it'd even take a charge, which it did, and then I thought to try to use it... and it works perfectly! Now, I don't recommend people go and run their bluetooth headsets through the washer and dryer, but know that if you do, these ones are so good that they stand a better chance of still working than any others do that I've ever heard of.
I got this headset in March of 2010. There is static even if I am within 3 feet of the headset. In order to hear I have to hold my cell phone within 1 foot of the headset. I have tried to work with Plantronics but all they do is ask to send it back at my cost and they send back a headset that is even worse. I went with Plantronics because of the name and good comments online. I proved that the problem was not my cell phone that indeed it was the headset. I can not continue to send the headset back at my cost and they will not refund my money. So...I am left with a piece of crap headset. My recommendation is to stay as far away from this headset as possible. I had to rate it a 1 star because they do not have 0 outwise I rate it a 0.
I've been using Bluetooth devices since the first generation. I have six different devices in my drawer. The Plantronics
Voyager 520 is by far the best of all of them. The one most recently ordered is a backup so I won't be without one if
something should happen to the one I'm using now. I like the comfort, ease of use, long usage when charged, great sound
listening and no complaints from listeners. The noise screening feature is a welcome help. These small devices have gotten
better with each generation and it's a good thing because they were not so great in the beginning. I'm so pleased
with my Voyager 520 I won't really care if it's the last one I buy.
